Once again, on Sunday, September 8, a Feast in honor of Saint Michael the Archangel took place in Melrose. Groups of the faithful from the Michalite parishes in Canada and USA gathered to celebrate the Grand Patron - Saint Michael. The celebrations began with the Angelic Chaplet conducted in three languages: Polish, English and Italian. Then there was the central point of the celebration - the Eucharist, whose main celebrant was the Moderator General of the Confraternity of the Scapular of St. Archangel Michael - priest Robert Ryndak CSMA. He gave a homily on the devotion to The Archangel and the value of the Scapular of St. Michael. After the Eucharist, many participants of the celebration received the scapular of St. Michael the Archangel, a sign of devotion to the care of the Chief of the Angels, thus joining the scapular's Confraternity. The whole ceremony ended with a coffee and donut served by members of the Domestic Church and grilled sausage from Scouts.

On October 9, 2015 the parish of St. Patrick in Lucan, Ontario, was giving thanks to God for the successful completion of the renovations of its church building. On that occasion the faithful of the parish gathered with the Ordinary of the diocese of London, His Excellency Bishop Ronald Peter Fabbro CSB to celebrate a thanksgiving Mass. In attendance were also priests from the community of St. Michael the Archangel of the North American Vice Province with their Superior Father Andrew Kowalczyk CSMA.

In his homily Bishop Fabbro stressed that the renovation of the church has to go hand in hand with the renovation of our hearts. He pointed to the Saint Michael as the patron in the fight against sin and evil which is present in our hearts. During the ceremony Bishop Fabbro also blessed a new tabernacle for the church.

Ks. Dariusz Lewandowski CSMA, pastor of St. Patrick Parish, in few words outlined two year process of renovations. The main accomplishments include: a new slate roof, renovated sanctuary and the main nave and ceiling of the church, the new lighting inside and outside of the church as well as a new sound system. Fr. Dariusz pointed out to the enormous generosity of parishioners of St. Patrick, who for the purpose of renovations have donated $ 1.1 million.

The renovated church, which adds a special charm with its tall tower crowned by a cross, permanently fits into the local landscape and will serve the local faithful for many years to come as a center of worship.

Every year we celebrate St. Michael the Archangel feast. This year we gathered on the 13th of September to pray and worship God through the intercession of Our Patron. Worshippers arrived from many parishes in Canada and Detroit. We started at 3 pm praying Holy Angels Chaplet, after that Fr. Andrew Kowalczyk and priests from our Viceprovince celebrated the Mass. We heard a great word of encouragement from Fr. Tomasz Wilisowski. He described beautiful relationship between human beings and St. Michael the Archangel. He emphasized that our Patron is a great Protector. Mass celebration was a good occasion to welcome a new priest from Poland (Fr. Mateusz Szerszen). We have dedicated the plaque in memory of Fr. Wladyslaw Krukar CSMA and then enjoyed "Agape" and concert of religious music by Getsemani from St Teresa Parish in Toronto.

After the ceremony everyone was making remarks on the beauty of the celebration and a great spirit of a one family of the people of God. Please pray for Bishop Joe Dabrowski as he assumes the responsibility of the Auxiliary Bishop to Bishop Fabbro CSB in the administration of the Diocese of London.

Kateri is the Patron of our North-American Vice-Province. She was born near the town of Auriesville, in the year 1656, the daughter of a Mohawk warrior. She was four years old when her mother died of smallpox. She was adopted by her two aunts and an uncle. Kateri became converted as a teenager. She was baptized at the age of twenty and incurred the great hostility of her tribe. Although she had to suffer greatly for her Faith, she remained firm in it. Kateri went to the new Christian colony of Indians in Canada. Here she lived a life dedicated to prayer, penitential practices, and care for the sick and aged. Every morning, even in bitterest winter, she stood before the chapel door until it opened at four and remained there until after the last Mass. She was devoted to the Eucharist and to Jesus Crucified. She died on April 17, 1680 at the age of twenty-four.
